I have tiled my bathroom (off white with splotches of gold and grey), but am worried about the transition pieces. Our bathroom is not large. It is 12 feet long. The toilet is across from the sink. From the counter to the toilet area, it is 56". The length of the toilet area is 42". The toilet area has ceramic tile.
There are three entrances to the bathroom, and each is off of carpet. The transition pieces match the floor from our library, and they are the color that we will someday have in at least the hallway that goes to the bathroom. The color is called oak.
I am afraid that the transition pieces will look awkward, and may not be that clean. The measurement is 1 9/16. When I set the pieces down, they look funny. But they are what the man in the store said we needed to use.
Are there other options for this size of a bathroom? This feels out of proportion, and I am reluctant to continue. We will replace the baseboards once we paint them a light color - an off white, but that won't help our situation that much.
Thanks for any advice.
