Garrison makes some extremely unique high end hand scraped products as well as some run of the mill products. While you may have had a bad experience your post is pretty generic. My distributor has sold lots of Garrison without a problem. What problems did you have?

I am also interested to hear what issues you incurred. Could you please mention the type of Garrison product that was at issue?

Sounds like they expected a non scratching laminate in a high end wood.

I hope others will look at a post like this and see the folly of so called 'warnings' from consumers unhappy with a product. You have three floor covering guys willing to offer advice to this guy and he doesn't answer just warns others not to buy a certain brand of product. Most consumer issues are because the product didn't meet expectations, but who determined if the expectations were realistic in the first place? Sort of like I bought a Ford and it needed repairs so I warned you not buy any Ford.

It certainly sounds like a damage claim.

Since the installation company obviously did not honor the isntall, the claim must have been past their guarantee period, which leads us to believe that the floor enjoyed a life of at least a year or two before the claim.

Manufactuers historically have excellent claims support and take care of their customers by sending out inspectors to determine cause and responsibility of the claim.

I think the original poster may have had a claim denied.

Since they mentioned durability, I fear there was surface damage from abuse.

No manufacturer is going to skirt on a legitimate claim that I know of.

We have never had a manufacturers claim denied when it was inspected and the cause was found to be manufacturing defect.
