I think I posted the same thing when I came over a couple years ago when my dh and I were first thinking of building a new garage with an apartment over it. We still haven't done it but getting closer. I post about such things at the old house forum. There is also an addition forum, if your house isn't old.
Maybe I'll be back once we actually have garage doors, lol.
