I refuse to buy anything Flexsteel again. It's not "mom's" Flexsteel, that's for sure. Purchased in '97, it was unbearable to sit on within 4 years, went through I don't know how many sets of new cushions from the store in the late 4th to 6th year (4 sets at least), had frame inspected by store owner (nothing wrong), store suddenly "lost" our records for covering the warranty for lifetime replacement of cushion cores and won't honor it (even tho I have copies of cushion purchase orders). So we got something else. Have a LazyBoy recliner (also purchased in '97) that DH still loves and will not part with. I want a new one that better compliments the new leather set. I am not up on all of the companies manufacturing/ importing from Vietnam/China etc., but I'll definately search long and hard for a made in the USA tag (getting harder to come by, sadly).

I've had many Lazboys over the years (although no leather) and they are great recliners - hold up well and are very comfortable.

I recently bought a brand new Barcalounger, all leather - it's just gorgeous, extremely well made and extremely comfy! I don't know anything about the other brands you mentioned, but I would recommend the LaZboy or Barcalounger.

I"m looking at our 15 year old lazyboy. The only thing wrong with it is the color no longer goes with my decor! LOL, can I trade it in for another fabric?

Seriously, it is a great recliner. The whole family fights to sit in it. Plus, it comes in two pieces and fit in the trunk of my Taurus. :-) We are now contemplating the purchase of 2 of their recliner loveseats to better decorate our lives.

Thnx 4 your comments. We decided to postpone the leather until our little is a bit older, and then replace our entire set w/leather. We ended up buying a LaZBoy recliner that was on sale (Harvey is the model) for $400 w/microfiber.
