Garage door tracks don't need to be lubricated, certainly not with any kind of grease - it just attracts dirt. If there is grease, mineral spirits should get it off.

You can use spray silicone lubricant. It doesn't last all that long but does help with the squeaks. Hit the hinges while you're at it. One of many brands available at the hardware store.

the dry lube for bike chains works well. doesn't gather dirt/dust.
