Bevan Funnell Dining Table

We've been struggling some time now trying to find a dining table that works for us. We currently have a Baker bow front chest and are looking for a dining table that fits with it. Our room is square so we'd like to get a round table that is 60" or a little smaller that has leaves allowing it to get bigger if needed. If possible we'd like to get a banding around the table. The only option I've seen that looks promising is

or

The downside to this one is it expands to a larger circle in place of oblong which is better for us.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear them!

Thanks,

Dan

Those are beautiful tables. I think the table linked below from Statton might work for you. If not, these companies make similar traditional furniture: Councill, Kittinger, Craftique, Stickley Traditional, EJ Victor,Kindel, Hickory Chair.

If you are open to used furniture, how about this Karges or Baker table on eBay?

Thanks so much for the links. I was reading on a previous post that it's hard to match Statton tables with Bevan Funnell chairs due to scale problems. Is that true?

    Thanks,

I may be the one who posted that -- we looked at the Bevan Funnell table, but bought the Statton table that linley linked. I ended up with Statton chairs, because I was worried the Bevan Funnell chairs would be too small.

We're very happy with the table. I'm still curious about the Bevan Funnell table -- I really liked it.

Ethan Allen has a similar table, one is 56 in. round and the other is 62 in. round; each has an 18-in. leaf. My Statton table has two leaves; 15 or 16 in. each, I think.

Here's the Ethan Allen table. I'm sure it isn't quite as nice as something by Statton or Craftique, but I know where you're coming from: finding anything in the right size that expands to the right shape is really difficult!!!

it doesn't seem that I can post the exact page ... it's Ethan Allen's round pedestal dining table in the Newport collection.

Yes, this has been much more difficult than we anticipated. We don't want the table to be bigger than 60" without any leaves but are willing to go smaller. A banding around it would be nice and we'd like it to become oval when the leaves are in. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Bevan Funnell is suppose to email me some close up pics of their tables. The hard part is nobody really sells Bevan Funnell around the Chicagoland area so we can't see them in person. If I can figure out how to post the pics I'll attach them to the thread when I get them.

Oh, I forgot to ask. If anyone has seen Bevan Funnell furniture please let me know the quality of it. How comparable is it to Baker?

    Thanks,

    Dan
