That is exciting! Is it engineered? How soon until you install it? Where did you order from? We are getting closer to ordering ours but haven't made up our minds yet. Probably will be Kahrs engineered and we need to keep total costs under or at $6. Are you installing yourself?

It's solid 3/4" clear grade ash stained and prefinished with ceramic urethane. Not an engineered product. We ordered it from Sheoga flooring. They sell direct and thru some retailers. I have a good floor installer that will put it down with felt paper for $2.50/ft2, so my total cost will be $7.15/ft2. I thought about doing it myself, but I just won't have the time. They are having a sale on clear ash right now at Sheoga, and it is a good deal. If you're putting down wood on concrete you'd be better off with an engineered product.

We're getting Sheoga pre-finished red oak character handscraped floors. What experience have you had with this company. We're working on getting the best price from distributors and are real excited- so far 5-1/2~$8.75 per sqft . Expect to buy it this week. Picked handscraped so any damage we cause won't be apparent. Also was looking at Mullican and Somerset. Taz

I was wondering how you're liking your Sheoga floor? That sale is still going on (I suspect it might be their normal price) for Ash, but I'm also considering Sheoga's oak. I'm getting the samples soon, I hope.
