Outdoor Iron Garage Gate Question

Hello, I had an iron garage gate installed for our carport. I think the installer did a great job and the powder coat color came out ok (hard to tell the dark grey colors from the swatches)

Have a minor problem/issue: there is a bit of flex on the right post because the installer did not "bolt" the top of the right post to anything. He bolted the left side post to the exterior of house wall.

On the right side, this is no wall, but there is a fence post where he could haved installed added an "L" bracket. But my question is, if he were to add an "L" bracket, he would have to drill through the post and attach a screw to the iron post with a nut. The nut would not look right on the front of the gate.

s there to secure the top iron post with the fence post without drilling through the iron gate or the use of a nut?
