Thanks, Horses. I'm wondering whether the bamboo floors can be done without glue or nails, or is that asking for trouble?
Can anyone recommend a good brand of bamboo flooring?

Teragren brand has been suggested many times.

Sand the finish off the back of the boards that are to be glued down.

The surface tension that the finish on the back of the boards creates, can be a bond breaker, if the floor wants to swell.

Floorguy - I haven't heard of that tip. When you say "sand" do you mean just rough the sort of shiny backing a bit?
