Here's what I asked for:

Rip out 2 layers of flooring with a sub-flooring

Install 55 square feet of 18 by 18 tile in a brick pattern

3 inch bullnose edge around the walls

I am expected to do the following:

Take out/install the vanity

Take out/install the toilet

Provide tile and grout

The quote? $1100.

Um. That's $20 per square foot! I can't help but wonder if I received a premium price because I live in a not-so-traveled area...He made on about "not even knowing where a Home Depot" is in my area and so on and so forth.

Next contractor please!
