Hello all, we recently bought a bungalow built in the 1920's. The previous owners had the upstairs rented out and the carpet was pretty bad so we pulled it up. Afterwards, I noticed some large white 'crumbs' in the cracks and along the edges of the old hardwood flooring. I also noticed that at one time, there must have been some old linoleum or vinyl that a previous owner must have removed. My question is, could the 'crumbs' be asbestos and if so, when the previous owners removed the old tiles, did they put asbestos into the environment? Any help would be appreciated.
