Sir, repeatedly on this forum it has been posted that one electric resistance heater is exactly as efficient as another with respect to BTU output per watt of power input. Electricity is typically one of the more expensive ways to heat. Wood has significant disadvantages under the best of circumstances and significant advantages under certain circumstances. We used wood on and off for at least 40 years of my life, 32 of them continuously.

If the Eden Pure is the one I'm thinking about, it's ludicrously expensive for an electric heater.

I have looked for the input output data for Eden Pure but I have found NO DATA as they clame for the BIG savings.

If the heat output is the same as a grid heater and the input is the same, ( AMP draw) then the only possible savings is the fact that you turn your furnace off at night and only heat one room. So if that's IT ... then you can do that with a $20 electric heater from the DIY.

If you put the bulbs in some fixtures at least you would get some light.

I regret the gender misidentification. But the salutation used was a respectful one. Crocodile Dundee also made a gender identification error- but only once.

We carry the Solar Sun Cloud which is similar to the Eden Pure. It contains a hollow tube copper HX for better heat displacement over your typical space heater. Which allows the WARM air to exit the unit at a temp closer to your room air so when the warm air exits it doesn't just go straight to the celing like a space heater. There is also a setting to allow the fan to run after the bulbs turn off to extract 100% of the heat from the HX. It is actually more like a portable furnace than a space heater. But you get to plug it into a 110v outlet and forget about it.

As I see it, unless the heater is removed from the room very quickly after the power supply is stopped, the residual heat in any component (bulbs) of the heater remains in the room.
