K-T10276-4A-G: Is this a "stand alone" shower?

I can turn the lever and get water from the shower spout, adjust the temperature with the lever and I do not need a filler tap?
This means I can use this Balance Valve with Hotel
Handshower kit: K8487-G and forget about this shower head?

Thank you for your question Are you asking whether you need a tub faucet to go with this shower head? As far as I can see, this shower head is a stand alone unit, but it does require one of the following valves to function. K-2971-KS, K-304, or K-304-KS are the corresponding valves to this fixture.
