Janice, I can't find any yarn on Lion Brand's website called Debyshire (or even Derbyshire), so I can't help you. Are you sure it is Lion Brand yarn?

It appears to be a vintage yarn (discontinued) and not many references online to it. What I can find sometimes refers to it as baby yarn. You must look at the information on the label. Does it say what size hook is recommended? One place I found says a size E. You will probably be able to use it in a pattern that calls for Pompadfour. But the best way to tell is to knit or crochet a swatch and see if gauge is correct.
