Thanks for sharing pictures of your beautiful work. Did you use two strands of sport weight yarn??
I just started this baby blanket, using one strand of sport weight yarn and it appears very flimsy.

I only used one strand of sport weight - it's for a baby in a warmer climate. I don't think of it as flimsy but light and soft. Depending on location, you could always use two strands. I did that for the peaceful pastels

Profsusan, thanks for your response, I decided to go with two strands of Baby TLC, so far so good. Had a problem with Round 4...(24 dc 24 ch3 sps.)
I think it should read 12 dc and 12 ch 3 sps.
Other than that so far so good.
One other question, about how much yarn did you use?

you are right about round 4 - since I have made a few of these now, I only look at the pattern for the beginning piece - once I start on my "hills and valleys" I just do a quick count and you can see if it is right. We should probably e-mail the designer and point out her mistake :-)

I used the Red Heart baby soft in Mint Green Twinkle - 6 oz in a skein - I used a bit more than two following the design so I would estimate about 14oz

the lilac one was regular worsted and I used a pound package of Caron lilac and some white I had left over from another - the cluster stitches use quite a bit but since it was left over yarn, I'm not sure how much I used but the skein started at 8oz (before Red Heart changed their super savers to 7oz) and I still have a bit left.

Next time I may make both a bit larger.
