You can definitely get all for around $150. Patternworks sells yarn swift and ball winder combos for $80 to $100 and the yarn meter for $50 (shipping is extra). You can also use the 40-50% off coupons at Joann.com and get the ball winder and swift, one coupon per purchase. If you don't need an exact measurement on the yarn (and if its not the nubby or thick-thin kind, you can use a McMorran yarn balance which costs less than half of the yarn meter (Google for stores). Some people use fishing line meters that cost a lot less than the yarn meters. You can find them at Basspro or call a local sporting goods store.
