Help is much appreciated!

Why, 'ello, mates. I've recently taken up the art (much arrowthree!) of crocheting, and I've stumbled into a bit of a conundrom. Y'see, I was crocheting this beautiful plaid scarf for my beautiful non-plaid wife... once I finished it, I discovered that I'd crocheted said beautiful plaid scarf to my hand! Silly me. Poses a bit of a problem, y'see. My hand's rather sweaty right now, and I'd like to have the scarf removed, but I'd hate to destroy it. It's beautiful, and plaid, which is my favorite color, by the way! It took me a'many long hours, and I'd loathe to do it all over again.

Y'see, I was thinking perhaps I could crochet the other end of the scarf to my wife's hand, to represent our bond, and that way she could never leave my side. So we'd be stuck together for life! Do any of y'all folks think this is a good idea to surprise my wife with, or does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thank you, and best wishes from Western Australia on this blazing hot day!

This does seem to be quite a problem, doesn't it? I suggest you go for attaching her. It seems very sweet. Hopefully, your wife lives nearby, or else there's going to be a very, very long scarf going from Australia to wherever she lives. Not to mention the cost of purchasing that much yarn...

Either way, good luck in your endeavors! I hope they turn out well for you! Much love! ~Calamay

Thank ya for your timely response, lass! My wife lives in Iceland, as matter of fact. Do you think my idea's still possible?

Thank you for the help, and best wishes!

you might want to have her visit when you make the scarf. perhaps she should move in with you? might work better for you, love! either way, i suggest buying the yarn in bulk to make sure all of your plaid matches!

But alas, m'dear, she is in prison and will not be released for schfifty five years.

perhaps you should visit her! whatever did she do to get put in prison?

She stapled a platypus to a bearded lady's face, and then pushed her off a building!

i can see how she could get in trouble for that one. i know! why don't you commit a crime as well and join her in prison, so that you can more easily utilize your scarf!

Wonderful idea, m'lady! What do you propose I do to join my beautiful (non-plaid!) wife in prison?!

my suggestion is to hoist a huge chunck of cement or pavement and beat someone with it with an adrenaline rush rewarded from their stupidity. it's a very effective plot! good luck!

Lass, you must be a rocket scientist! That is a grand idea, if I do say so myself, and I do say so myself!

not quite a rocket scientist, but i've been known to have the odd idea or two. and i'm very glad to help out! i wish you and your wife very much luck!

    Thank you, m'dear!

Ps: If things don't work out with my wife, may I ask for your hand in marriage? We could marry by where the kangaroo frolic freely!

i would be honoured to wed one so creative as you, darling! i feel as if i've known you for years. and we have so very much in common. it is as if we were meant to be!

I could crochet your wedding dress!

that's a fantastic idea! can it be plaid?! that is, after all, also my favorite colour!

Why, of course, m'dear! Your favorite color also? It must be fate after all!

it must be! are you sure your icelandic wife in jail doesn't mind our soon-to-be marriage? i mean...she is in jail. and there was platypi invovled. she isn't violent, is she?

I've just received notification that Gertrude (that was her name) has died, so I don't think she'll much mind!

oh. i'm sorry that your wife died. would it be quite alright if i was allowed on the other end of your scarf? we should exchange scarf halves instead of rings. rings turn my fingers green anyway.

Most definitely, and once more, wonderful idea, lass! Are you certain you're not a rocket scientist?

i might be! you'll have to find out!
