Did she send you a pattern, or just the picture? Could you post the picture? I have found several free patterns online for dickies. I might be able to point you in the right direction if I knew just what you were looking for.

not scanner savy so can't do the picture, sorry. scanner and I have never gotten along, should look into a new one that I can handle..... thought if i found something similar I could revise somewhat. dickey i guess is the best description but it is ribbed all the way down, just a larger scale dickey. certainly would be open to some links however...............thanks so much!!!!
