I haven't crocheted in many years and am now retired and unable to drive. I must buy my yarn on-line and would like a recommendation for a yarn that is very soft. I plan to make an afghan using the afghan stitch and wonder what would be the best yarn to use. How many ounces should I order?

Also, what are the best internet sites for reasonable prices?

I am so glad I found this site!

One of my favorite soft acrylics is Caron's "Simply Soft". Of all the different yarns I used for the various caps I made, she liked the Simply Soft best.
