I looked up what a newsboy's hat looks like and I'll be darned if I see how you could knit OR crochet one....they have a bill and look like a Greek fisherman's hat. How could you knit or crochet a bill? If you find a pattern, I'd like to have it, too, so be sure to post it here.

There's a knit pattern in Stitch and B*tch Nation by Debbie Stoller. I also saw a sample one in the Knitpicks catalog which was from the Knitter's Bible: Knitted Accessories and called Weekender Cap.
