KK so you moved to Alaska?? visited Igloo yet??

I think we have a challenge against Alaska this season and wanted to get a head start. (Be sure that I was not included in any voting process.)

My gosh! It is WAY to early for that stuff.

Want to come visit KK? Although we up for a week of rain. Still, it's better than the white stuff!!

    tina

(that is a pretty pic though!)

I've been listening to the weather - you're not that far north of me but this one is missing us. We're having way below normal temps, too. It's gonna make this one feel like the never ending winter if it keeps up. Oh, boy.

    It's be-oo-tiful!!!

It *is* beautiful! I'll trade you any day!

I am hearing we're in for a huge rain/wind storm. 3 to 4 inches and wind gusts up to 50-60 MPH. That typhoon from Japan is hitting northern California tonight. I always worry about my two giant trees right outside my house.

Tina, I would love to come visit today but I refuse to leave my house. I am hibernating.

Deb, you probably just hexed yourself. Expect flurries by nightfall.

squirrelheaven, I has hoping you were around. Please photoshop me somewhere tropical.

golddust, you win. I would rather have some snow than a Japanese typhoon.

I have to admit that this hasn't been all bad. I had the day off and a long list of things to get done. If it was nice out I would have hit all the Columbus Day sales and had gotten nothing done. Plus, my dogs are having a blast. They love romping around in snow.

It's pretty.........As long as it's at your house and not mine!

DS lives in Chicago. He is happy to be leaving in the morning to attend a Google conference in San Jose. WAY too early to be cold!

Ok well I voted we hold off winter until we move :) Apparently it had to go somewhere...and KK's it is :) Sheesh it's a beautiful sunny fall day here :) Temps in the 50's leaves everywhere....the lake is not frozen...life is good :oP

Allison, My old job had me traveling alot and I hated it. Now I am thinking it might not be too bad. Chances are that it would have to be somewhere warmer.

I knew the princess igloochicken would show up to rub it in. Only surprised that it took this long. So how are you and the RV? I keep thinking I will see you show up on TV winning some award for the best decorated RV in all of the lands! Also, I do have trouble keeping up with your house collection. Are you still moving to the victorian in Portland? I think you need to start an update thread.

Warmer? like here?? 65 and su-n-n-nyyy! probably more of the same tomorrow. Friday it was 85. Leaves just starting to turn. Did I mention it was sunnnnnnny and 65 today?? hardly sweater weather. I am going to pick the rest of the gerber daisies and whatever else tomorrow to bring into the office :)

KK, you must've done something really naughty to be hit with all that white stuff....LOL!

Nice, CB Sue. Come back tomorrow and tell me you have sunburn and I will hurt you.

cat mom, I have been nothing but a saint lately. Must be my neighbor that has the bad karma. I was thinking of you the other day. I was at the liquor store and saw a sale on the Seven Deadly Zins. Alas, but it was sold out. (Maybe I do have some of the bad karma.)

sorry KK I just couldnt help myself. If it makes you feel better my coworker took Thurs and Friday off last week and spent the days reading on the beach while I was ( sigh) toiling away at my desk.
Nah it's your neighbor, with those pups it can't be you.Oh wait, almost forgot I wonder if morgue drawers karma offsets the good dog karma??? hmmm... That might explain it!

I think we polished off our last bottle of 7 Deadly Zins a few weeks ago (although, it could still be downstairs and we drank something else for all I can remember lately!).

I will try to beam you some good karma with my magical tree bark ice bucket/space signal device!

    Hee-heeee-heee...
    This may help.

LOL KK I was just finishing the new curtains for the motorhome the other day :OP And wondering if you can paint the cabinets in those stupid things.

Nov 4th we take possession of the old house :) My future decorating decisions will mostly focus on "is this too many tables in the room" given that it comes furnished with wonderful, but too many pieces of furniture.

It's not snowing there either (port townsend wa) :oP

igloo was wondering if you had fallen off the face of the earth. Glad to see you! so pics of your motorhome yet??

LOL Sue, No :oP That thing was such a disaster (but perhaps when I'm finished fixing it up). It's sitting in mom's yard waiting for us to come visit in November (and the battery is dead LOL). It should look wonderful after we bring the cat and dog to stay for a week prior to closing on the house heh heh

Since I'm going "victorian" I may have to redecorate the MH in lace and flowers :oP

Kelly....it's white here, nothing but white!!!! (fog but I thought it might make you feel better).

Oh my gosh. Got a bunch of comedians on the boards. (None of you better give up your day jobs.)

Here's a good one. My neighbor asked me to help her pick out paint colors for her entry and new kitchen because she thinks I did a good job on my first level. I told her it took a forum to decorate this house and I didn't have much input (on purpose.)

And no, fog is not the same. But thanks for playing.

Oh my. It was about 70 again today. I picked some flowers to take into the office this morning to share the last of summer. And they weren't white.

OK, that one really cracked me up for some reason.

Igloo, I know you have probably seen these. But a couple of years ago I ran across them and 'tis amazing what can be done in a "trailer".

Off subject, but loved hearing from you.

We had a major ice storm here, lasted 3 days with every in hoar ice. The fall is gone, plants just couldn't survive. We may all have an early winter, the storm in CA is going to head right for us...Colorado.

KK I just knew I should have been nicer to you, but nnooo I couldnt keep my mouth shut. It is coming down here now- but as icky icky cold rain. The only weather I hate. cold rain. sigh.summer is gone. and so is my good karma..

    I probably shouldn't mention that we're headed to the beach Sunday . . .

    tina

Kelly - where do you live? Right now here in NW CT it is snowing! Way too early for me. Little flakes, but I can see them from inside the house. Hope our yard doesn't look like your tomorrow (though it may be an improvement since parts are brown). My Cherish roses, geraniums, and snapdragons are still blooming - would make an odd picture!

ugh--talk about bad karma! Wet and white stuff coming down here in southern NY!

Karma, baby, karma! All my snow is gone and it supposed to be in the 50's on Sunday.

OK Miss Tina, I can go to the beach, too. In my long underwear. (Which is probably a good thing for any on-lookers.) Might bring my battery operated space heater, too.

ajsmama, I am in a St. Paul suburb in MN. The real bummer was that we won't see much of trees turn color because of the early freeze. Stresses out the trees and the leaves just drop before turning. I LOVE fall because of the spectacular colors out there. White snow - not such a spectacular color.

KK - my niece and nephew live in St Paul with their mom. I think my DB moved to WI after the divorce? Not sure, I know it's close.

THIS is what it looks like here this AM - not as much coverage as you have (DD said back yard looked like Dalmatian) but my poor roses are *frozen*!

    Snapdragons

My poor roses - should have cut them yesterday. Think the buds will open if I bring them into warm house? Or are they goners?

I had to knock the ice off this bud

    I know how you feel. :( :( :( :( :( :(

emegineer...wow now I can never post pics of my grizwolds motorhome LOL Those are so cool!

KK I sent DH down to check out the snow the other day :) Is it still there? I want to know he's suffering while I'm home with the kiddo :oP

It was 93 here yesterday. Snow might not be so bad (for one day. . .maybe).

Ig--'Ya puttin' morgue drawers in the motor home?

Here is a link that might be useful: Something for Killer

igloochic, I forgot the inlaws are here. Hubby should have had a nice stay. It was sunny today! In the sixties tomorrow.

    kitchendetective, those are a hoot.

lol KD I'd have bought that trailor :)

You know, I have to admit...I saw that there were doors in the seats of the motorhome bench seating table...and thought of Kelly immediately. They're impossible to use (tiny doors yet a huge open space) and thought...hummmm morgue drawers :OP

He was just passing through this trip Kelly...picked up a car in st paul and headed to south dakota for the killing fields (ok I don't hunt birds so I'm obnoxious about the sport). Says it's so wet they can barely slog through the fields and the crops aren't in yet so the birds are winning in the hunt.
