thinking of getting this sink i live in canada and have to orderit out of US anyone else have this sink and do you like it ?Do you have pics? Thinking of getting the model with a large bowl and small bowl with the divider lower so you can also wash large items? If you have this sink have you been able to find racks for the bottom to fit?
I have the Swanstone nero large bowl/small bowl sink and really like it. I do not have a rack for the bottom - never looked - I use a foldable dishrack on the counter (horror) and store it under the counter when not in use.
It was a bit of an adjustment having the deeper bowl. I usually end up washing out of the smaller, shallower bowl and use the larger bowl to wash the dog, lol.
The sink always looks great - hides any water marks or dirt, and seems indestructible. I rarely see anyone on this forum talk about Swanstone but they are used in my area fairly frequently.
I will see if I can come up with a picture tomorrow but if I don't the only thing I can comment (warn you?) on is that the color is more of a very dark brown, not black as some sites imply.
I have this sink and I LOVE it. Never thought I could actually love a sink - choosing it was almost an afterthought when we got new counters - but it's really wonderful. The deeper bowl can be a bit tough on the back at times, and I have not been able to find a rack that works with it. I love the big bowl for big items (high chair tray, roasting pan, big cutting boards). We have not often filled it over the low divider, though - this bowl is big enough that hasn't really been a need. We also use just the little sink sometimes if we just have a few smaller items to wash. We love having the disposal free while we are washing dishes. We entertain a lot and it's nice for one of us to still scrape dishes while the other starts washing.
I live in a hard water area so mine does show water drips. I've also struggled with a filmy haze on the sink that slowly developed over the last 6 months. I just figured it out, though. Swanstone has updated their cleaning instructions since I bought it, and they recommend using Magic Eraser on it. That got a lot of it off, and then I wiped it down with white vinegar, let it sit for 10-20 minutes and it looked like NEW again. That was a week ago and it still looks great, so it seems the haze is gone. I plan to follow that maintenance every couple weeks or so to keep it looking pristine. They also say you can use Weiman's granite polish on it.
I would disagree with skyedog that it is a dark brown. Ours is definitely not brown. It is what I would call a charcoal-ish black. It's black, but the stone in it sparkles a bit and makes it look a bit charcoal colored in some lighting.
It's one of the best parts of our recent kitchen refresh!
