Any Problems Installing Elux. Induction Range?

Has anyone here replaced an older range w/ an Electrolux Induction Range? I thought it would be fairly easy to remove my current slide in pro-style range and put the new slide-in in its place. But I've read in some reviews (not here) that the flared design at the front of the stove has caused problems.

The countertops flanking the opening are granite, flat, with no decorative edging.

Mine wasn't a replacement, but I'd read here that it was important to have a 1-inch filler on either side of the range for clearance. The counter was installed first, then the range slid into place. I realized that the counter forced the range to be farther away from the back wall than it needed to be due to the flared front, so when the fabricators came back to install my island marble I had them notch out a little on either side of the stove so that it could be pushed back just a bit more. I probably gained about 3/4" that way.

It is actually better if the range is a bit forward from the front edge of the cabinets. Hot air can escape from the side of the oven door during use, and I have seen the cabinets next to the oven damaged over time. This will also give you enough room behind the range to clean easier.
