Kitchen layout 911 again...

Hi,
Lavender_lass was so kind enough to revise my kitchen layout. My contractor is saying having a double oven on the corner may make the kitchen too closed in from the great room. He is suggesting to move it along the wall of the cooktop and fridge. He says by doing that their can be 18 inches of countertop space on the sides if the cooktop. Isn't that too small and crowded having three appliances? The range and fridge are 48" and the oven is a double 30". Please help since he is framing now. Thank you so much. Just want input to keep the oven where it is or move it. Or if you have any other ideas?

I would leave it where it is. It would look unbalanced on the other side of the room and there really isn't room over there anyway. Way too crowded.

18" is way too small on either side of a cooktop. Especially a 48" one.

What do you think if I put the oven in the corner on the north west ie left side of the sink and shift the windows down. (I'm losing the small window (w3) regardless since there is a shear wall)Thoughts? Or maybe even the northeast corner...

If you simply slid the oven over 12-15", would that feel more open? Have a narrow base cabinet, and a narrow upper or leave it open.
