Oil burner control problem

Hello

Ive got a problem with my oil burner not coming on automatically. Ive got to hit the reset to get it going. I was reading though an old thread here w/someone having a similar problem, but heres the kicker.

Not only do I hit the reset but I have to "TAP" the pump to get it going... yep.

I replaced the pump, thought it must have been worn causing a drag on the motor, even though it pumped fine after it started. Seamed to be OK at first then same thing.

Then I found it dosnt matter where I tap it -motor, pump etc it kicks on the same.

Beckett afg, 1/7 3450, suntec a2va7116 -1pipe (no leaks)

Also new nozzle, filter, checked control relay, CAD cell to directions in control box.

The motor, fan, pump assmbly spin freely. But when you hit the swith it seems to be stuck it just makes a humming noise until I tap it then it fires right up. Im thinking its gotta be the motor....

Any ideas Id greatly appreciate.
