Unit is a 2 year old Carrier unit in a new home. It is a split zone design, with a separate thermostats for the upstairs and downstairs. The zones are controlled by a Honeywell "switch" (IÂm not sure what you call it).

The unit is not turning on at all. Neither the blower nor the outside unit are clicking on. I canÂt even hear a click or buzz.

First, I confirmed that the breaker in the garage was on. I even turned it off and on. I looked everywhere on both the attic and outdoor apparatuses for another fuse, circuit breaker, or switch. I found no fuses or breakers. There is a power switch in the attic. This was on. I turned it off, and the lights on the Honeywell unit went off. I turned it back on. The lights went on, but still now activity for the AC. I did notice that the system light was blinking on the Honeywell switch. I canÂt tell what color it is, though, as IÂm colorblind.

I turned the unit on COOL and turned the thermostat way down the room temperature. ItÂs still quite warm here in TX, so it should have come on. Nothing. I turned the HEAT on and the thermostat all the way up. Still nothing. No sounds from the attic or outdoors units.

I then thought that maybe the thermostat was bad. I removed the thermostat on the downstairs unit, disconnected the yellow wire and touched it to the red wire. Still nothing. I let it stay in contact for a while in case there as a delay, but it didnÂt work. I even went to the Honeywell switch in the attic and did the same thing with the out lines but still had no results.

The last thing I did was turn the breaker switch OFF, then I went out to the outside unit. I manually depress the contact switch (the thing next to the capacitor) on the ouside unit. The fan on the outside unit came on, but I donÂt think anything else did. The fan would blow as long as I held the switch down. So, at least that part of the unit is getting power.

Since none of the unit (condenser, blower, fan, etc) are coming on, IÂm thinking it may be an electrical issue, but I canÂt find out where. Like I said, I looked everywhere for something that may have been tripped or burned out, but I canÂt find anything.
