starting a kitchen remodel

We have a kitchen lay out that we like but it is 20 years old. It stood the test of time but now we want new cabinets, counter tops and applicances. We live in Marin County and are looking for a RELIABLE, FAIR, ETHICAL, contractor. We think we have the cabinet person but may still decide to look further. Right now the important piece is the contractor.

Word of mouth would be a good way to find the sort of contractor you are looking for.

Go to the NAHB.org website and there is a button or selection for find a remodeler. Select that and then your city/area and there should be a listing. Interview several.
