Choosing a TL HE Machine....HELP!!!

Currently I have a Kennmore HE TL Oasis the middle of the line on order at Sears. It has the steam dryer with and all the bells and whistles except not in color and not a glass lid. When I started looking more into things this machine seems to have a lot of bad reviews. The sales guy swears to me a lot of those reviews were done before the remake of the set. I'm still uneasy. So now I'm looking at the Whirlpool Cabrio set and it seems that you get more options and the steam in the dryer and the glass lid for a little less money. Has the Cabrio been redone to have the kinks worked out? Such as the clothes get wadded up together and don't come out clean? There is also the new Maytag Bravo although the only one I think I would be interested in this lineup is the top of the line one and it is a little more money. I know they all make each other and that Whirlpool makes Maytag. So why the price difference? Is one really better than the other? I need to make a decision pretty fast as I don't want to have to pay a restocking fee but I feel as I may be very disappointed in going with the Kennmore set. Also what about the GE's they are quite a bit more money but I always hear that GE isn't that great but seem to have Consumer Reports backing them. Why is that? Do either the Whirlpool Cabrio or the Maytag Bravos have an internal water heater? The sales guy said the Kennmore Oasis does. Also the whitest whites cycle on the Cabrio and the Bravos is that similar to a sanitary cycle? I work as a med tech and I like to wash my lab coats at my parent's in her LG front loaders on the sanitary cycle. I would like to be able to wash them in my own but want to know if this cycle is similar to the length of a sanitary cylce and as hot? I know a lot of questions but I'm so confused.

Thanks!!

I have the GE Harmony set and I love it. Had one problem with the dryer, which was under warranty, and that's it. Our set gets a lot of use with 6 people in the house so I don't think one small problem is a big deal. I've had it about 5 years now, so I don't have any bells or whistles on it but I really don't need them. Not sure if they have a sanitary cycle now but it might be worth looking into.

I need help too. My renovation starts in 4 weeks. I am taking the washer and dryer out of the mudroom/kitchen and making a guest room into a laundry and work room. My old Bosch is small 3.5 capacity, but still works. The dryer is pouring heat into the room instead of outside, but that should be an easy fix. Other than that I've had no problems. But since I'm remodeling, I want a new pair. I'm trying to decide between Bosch or Miele. German engineering is great. But my sister has a Frigidaire and loves it. She was talked out of the more expensive brands by the appliance guy. Her other appliances are high end like a Wolf range and a Fisher and Paykel dishwasher, so it wasn't about money per se.

The Oasis, Cabrio and Bravos are all basically the same machines, just with different options and trim that makes them look different. I don't think there's any advantage to one over the other in general unless there's a particular feature you're after.

I have one of the first Oasis washers and dryers (bought in August '06) and I've had zero trouble with the washer. The dryer had several warranty fixes the first year, but since then has been fine as well.

Obviously mine doesn't have the water heater since that's new, but my whitest whites cycle is quite long and uses hot water and chlorine bleach. I bought all new white towels when I got the washer as sort of a test and they're all still sparkling after 3 years. I usually just wash them on heavy duty and use whitest whites periodically.

I haven't posted here in awhile, but saw your post and had to comment.

Last week we took delivery of a Maytag Bravos with internal heater to be used in a vacation home. We like it a lot. It does a terrific job of getting our clothes clean. We just love the size of the tub.

We also own a Miele 1986 and an older Duet. This new Maytag competes favorably with either.
