Pantry lighting

Sometimes, I am smart. Occasionally. Our kitchen pantry was unlit, and even darker when I extended the shelving. My idea for better lighting was to put 3 12" florescent lights inside, and a switch that turned them on when the door opened. Pretty clever, but the lights didnÂt last that long (OK, a few years. IÂm cheap!), and to replace the tubes was about the same as buying new lights. I bought some rope lighting after the holiday that I thought IÂd one day use, and ran the strand up each side of the doorway with a loop along the ceiling. The lighting is warm and even, and has been working for 2 years with no problems. For me, itÂs been ideal. Enjoy
