To answer your question, I think the large tiles are very popular right now and will look very nice in your space. I am no expert, but I think fewer grout lines and larger tiles are often encouraged in kitchens. Are you keeping everything else the same? If you are keeping the cabinet color and back splash, I think lighter color tile will help brighten the room. What is your taste though? If you like a more dramatic room, dark tile would definitely give you that. My personal reaction is keep the tile lighter. Hope it helps - choosing this stuff is overwhelming at times!
