Is there a switched outlet in the room?

The electrical code requires at least on switched outlet at the room entrance (it is sort of silent about multiple entrances).
An outlet a place a fixture can be connected (plugged or hard wired).

A switched receptacle is common in rooms without a ceiling light, the ceiling light is the other option.
