Oh my goodness...that's adorable! I love the squirrel perched on the crib. For a wall colour, what about a warm cream to let that cute raccoon really stand out - maybe BM Monterey White or Lancaster Whitewash? I think those would tie in well with the browns. If they are too warm to fit with the blues in your decal and the white furniture, maybe Edgecomb Gray would work.

I vote for a nice sky blue - very calming, and contrasts nicely with the white furniture.

Bobby- Thank you! I found the design on etsy and then attempted to change the colors using a free online program. I tried changing the wall color, but it was not working.

Do either of you think (or anyone) that is too busy? Either too many critters or too many colors? Do the greens/blues in the leaves look okay? I am open to any and all suggestions. I was sorta afraid that I have too many neutrals going on in one small room.

My thought is that the tree and the branch would be on separate walls.

We had just painted the room that became the nursery Macadamia by SW when she found out she was pregnant. Not wanting to repaint the room, she choose apple green, light tan, white and chocolate brown as her nursery colors for the twins. It worked out well because she now has accessories in all these colors.

How cute is that?! There are so many ways that you can decorate the room around this feature! I like the lower contrast of a pale sky blue as opposed to a white or cream wall. I'd keep the rest of the room pretty neutral with just a few pops of the brighter blue and/or green, maybe in a window valance and pillow on a rocking chair.

Enjoy yourself and congratulations!! I loved the custom mural I commissioned for my son's nursery so much that when we later swapped his room with our guest room I just kept the mural on the wall over the guest bed.

Super cute! I like the pale blue walls and I don't think the decal is too busy at all. I don't think you'll need much else, if anything, in terms of art for the walls if the room is small. I agree with previous poster that I'd keep things neutral for the most part, maybe a few pops of color. Oh and you NEEEEED these owl bookends.... ;-)

Congratulations! What a fun time this is for you. As far as the decals go-not too busy at all. Very very cute! I also like the blue background better than a neutral. Lucky little boy!

I think a creamy neutral background would look really nice and then add window valances with the pops of blues and greens. Another thought, if you want to get really whimsical is to paint the ceiling of the room a pale sky blue to make it feel like outdoors.

Thank you!! I wish I could see it with the cream color to decide which works better. I like the idea that the white furniture would really pop on a blue wall. On the other hand I was hoping to avoid the typically baby blue walls for a boy. I can change any color in the drawing.. not sure if that would help or not. So torn! Thanks for the advice!

Those bookends are a must! Off to order some for the twins nursery! I think the pale blue would look great, especially with white furniture. Have patience with the Etsy decals.....it took two of us several hours to get that up on the wall, but we loved the result!

My goal was to have the wall decals and few other small splashes of color, like a few of you have suggested and that be it.

The tricky part is ordering the wall decal because I have to tell the person what color I chose for every detail (trunk, leaves, squirrels, owls, etc). I just want to make sure the colors I have half-hazardously picked out work together.

I love the decal design that you've created, New, and a big congratulations, too! As for wall color, how about a soft, pale green with the ceiling painted pale blue? If someone (other than yourself) is feeling up for it, have them paint some soft, white fluffy clouds on the ceiling, as well.
