Window options for this kitchen wall

Below is is an illustration of the upcoming kitchen remodel in our 1927 two-storey colonial house with 9 ft ceilings. The window shown in this plan is 75"H x 64"W. There's a cheap vinyl slider about the same width but shorter there now, so our contractor will be enlarging the opening and can adjust as necessary.

We want a window that opens, but it can't swing out because a stairway runs up against the wall right outside. So I've been considering twin side-by-side double hung windows mulled together, which would certainly fit the style of the house, but I'm not crazy about the amount of framework that could obstruct the view.

I'm open to suggestions not only as to the style, but also the shape (rectangular or archtop), the material (vinyl, fiberglas, wood), and/or color to best fit into this room.

By the way, I can't figure out how to get an image to appear in the body of my message. Can someone point me to instructions on how to do it? For now here is a link to the image.
