I have some antique metal grates and want to clean them to be replated or painted. They have some surface tarnish and rust. It is magnetic, but appears to have copper plate on top. The base is either brass or iron I'm guessing based on the weight.

Since they are 3D with an intricate pattern, something I could soak it in would be ideal. Any suggestions are welcome.
