I ran across this variation of the glass half full/empty cliché:

"The pessimist mourns the glassÂs half-emptiness, the optimist rejoices that itÂs semi-full and the engineer just thinks the glass is twice the size it should be."

And the declutterer thinks someone has done a great job of getting rid of unnecessary water; look at all that freed-up storage space!
