I agree. What is this for? Those columns are very weighty for how small that space is. Everything is white and there's no contrast. It looks like someone was trying to create an expensive look with the columns, then ran out of money when it came time to buy furnishings. Those chairs are wrong for that space in scale, in color, in style, in price point.

I like it but I feel it should be atop a round layed brick or combination with concrete to give the column's a look like they are intended to be there. It could then feel more like a destination, not an afterthought. Good luck.

I think it is a nice space!. Love the beautiful colors in the plants. I think some stone under foot would make it a little cozier and still keep the formality of it. Maybe add a fire pot (in a black or charcoal color) on the table for a little break in the white and a couple of throw pillows on the chairs for a splash of color and design. (Chevron or marquise diamond print). ;)

Structurally, it works and I like it, but I think I would like it better with a meandering flagstone path and patio and rustic style columns & chairs and fence. To me, that would be more inviting, also more practical than having to mow around furniture. It's just a difference in taste ;)

The architecture gives the impression of floating on the lawn. As others have said, a stone, perhaps marble in a mosaic pattern would work on the ground. Initially the vegetation colors are pleasing, but the structure of the plantings is not inviting. The plantings close in the area but do not offer sanctuary.
The space just needs a little tweaking.

I'd like to see it done in cast concrete or true stone, then you would have a winner.
