Hi, I am anxiously awaiting pictures of your Sherr's quarter sawn Oak RTA cabinets. And, any other info you may want to throw in about the process.

If you have already done so, I couldn't find it on a search. (Can't wait to see)

Sorry, if you posted in some message asking for pictures, I must've missed it. Here's some info from a recent posting:

For our kitchen remodel, I ordered the cabinets from Scherr's. Partly because I wanted quarter-sawn oak (which few companies offer), partly because some hard constraints in the design necessitated either custom sizes or wasteful filler strips, and partly because I'm cheap. Although these cabinets are not cheaply made by any stretch.

The cabinets boxes were mostly upgraded to plywood. The drawers were dovetailed hardwood (and although they are their cheapest option "mixed hardwood" they are beautiful.) The hinges and slides are top quality, and the leveling legs make DIY installation quite easy.

For all of the cabinets shown in the following drawing:

the final price was about $17,600 + about $800 in shipping.

and here's how they turned out:

Wow, that is nice! Thank you very much for sharing the layout as well, it was helpful for a guesstimate. Looks like you have at around three more upper and lower cab's than I will. I want to do a two tone kitchen with base cab's in quarter sawn oak and wall cab's a warm off white. It's nice to see some options of good quality that are reasonable. Of course my full dream is to have them all inset (does scherrs do inset?) AND have simple applied moulding doors.
I think I must be losing my mind, I think I remember a picture of your kitchen with more of the window length view? I will know I have lost my mind if you are in the FKB because I coulnt find it there.
    Again, thanks!

Thanks. I'm not in the FKB yet because I'm still not finished :-( I still have a pesky backsplash to design and install.

If you click on the second image, it will bring you to a image gallery of lots of pictures of the kitchen and the process.

I do know that Scherr's only does frameless cabinets, and for the most part inset doors requires a face frame.
