We have a 1938 house that has lathe and plaster walls. I'm assuming the ceilings are plaster as well. I want to hang a pot rack in my kitchen and I'm wondering about what sort of supports are typically under the plaster. I know in the walls they're supposed to be 16 inch from center to center and you drill a test hole, but I'm not sure where to start with the ceiling.
