When do you put out your spring decor?

Do you go by the calendar or by the weather?

Yesterday felt like spring was on the way. It was 63 and sunny but I know it will get cold again. Easter is less than 6 weeks away.

I'm starting to think about a little spring/Easter decorating. How about you?

If you have pictures from past years please share!

LOL! Last Saturday I put away my winter pictures in objection to some that said "Let it snow". We've had so much snow and so many blizzards, I was getting defiant and needed a spring pick-me-up. Then Saturday night we proceeded to have another blizzard and 3 days of being snowed in.

Usually around the first week in March I'm ready to switch over. I'm so ready for spring!

this may not be related to INDOOR spring decor, but to me my outdoor decorating is what truly feels like spring to me, but with that comes a LOT of work. Pulling out dead plants from the garden and flower beds, lots of pruning atnd trimming, emptying pots with dead plants on the deck, painting the deck (overdue from last year). Potting up new ferns (that's really the true timer for me) when It's time for ferns to go out again!!!

but then there are greenhouse activities, which really could be starting NOW, (I've not started yet) but a worthwhile effort since it does allow me to get a jump start with seedlings for the garden as well as other flowers for the beds.

SO much work, so little time. I do love spring though, but honestly, I have stopped trying to garden year round, winter I have just accepted as respite. Let the ground and ME rest.

I'm ready for spring and spring decorating too! My sister told me that she already has all of her spring stuff out and I'm not far behind her in putting mine out. Sorry, I don't have any pics because our house was a shambles all last winter, spring, and even during part of the summer due to our remodel.

Spring begins for me when the first daffodils bloom AND Major League Baseball starts spring training. Grin.

Pitchers and catchers have reported to spring training as of last Thursday....Oddly enough, this little daffodil opened it's petals on Thursday also. As far as I'm concerned, it's SPRING! (but snow is predicted for Tuesday. Sigh.)

I'm not a winter girl, so I'm ready for spring...warm temps, flowers, sandals...

I'll put Easter/spring decor out in another week. I've just put up all the Valentine's stuff and need a week or so of neutral before decorating for another season.

I live in California so not as great of a difference between the seasons as in other locations, but I change out according to how the weather makes me feel. Sometimes we have a long winter, with a break in February that has a false Spring then goes back to Winter...that get's a little confusing...LOL.

I must say, I have been eying my Easter centerpiece lately...so will probably be pulling that out of storage soon. My St Paddy centerpiece is screaming for me to release it into the open!!! The Tiki Lounge is year-round tropical, so don't do much in there. Mostly changes to my dining room and front door bucket or wreath.

I put out my Easter decorations as soon as I put Valentines Day stuff away. I don't do much for VD just a heart on the door and a few hearts here and there. With Easter relatively early this yr. I just decided to put out my things now. I have a sm. collection of ceramic chocolate bunnies and some marble eggs I put in three canister on my island. small bunnies are around the house. Flowers everywhere. I love flowers and can't wait to get outside to my garden. Today it snowed and tomorrow we are expecting a blizzard. But inside it looks like spring is coming.

This has been a really cold, dreary winter for us, so I am more than ready to put out the spring decor. I will probably get them out next week when I put away the Valentine's Day decor.

I start about a week or so before Easter. I love every season and every season's decor, so I'm still enjoying my Winter decs . . . but, of course, by "Winter" I don't mean Christmas!!! I tend to like using a lot of blue, white and silver during the Winter months. And then, red & white during Valentine's week.

I hung my St. Patrick's Day hanging sign and put shamrock cutouts all over my door on Monday (replacing my candy heart sign and heart cutouts from Valentine's Day).

I have the cutest bunny sign to put out with Easter egg and chick cutouts the day after St. Patrick's Day.

My neighbors probably think it looks tacky but I love it. And St. Patrick's Day and Easter mean spring is getting ready to appear.

    ahhhhhhhhhhh....sandals....can't wait!

Last week spring arrived here despite nothing spring-like outdoors. DH bot me a pot of jonquils which didn't go with the Valentine's vignette on my kitchen sideboard so the hearts, etc. went and a little bird and some other spring-like things were brought out. No bunnies or really Easter-ish things yet. It'll be tweaked several times before Easter.

I put mine out after St. Patrick's Day. By then it's usually hot in Houston.

Wow Barb, those are gorgeous, how long ago did you start them?

Most of the bulbs are 3 years old.Last year a neighbor gave me that bulb that has the orange blossom. I am not a fan of orange, but this is a lovely soft color that looks like it has a good dose of apricot in it.

The red behind it is a double. Through the years with repotting, and moving the pots, I have lost a lot of the labels. I don't know what that one is, but it is a beauty!

I don't tend to change my decor with the seasons, so my plants do it for me.

Wow, do you move those outside? The deer would eat them in 1 night here.

We got a foot of snow yesterday, so who knows when the daffodils will start coming up. I can't wait to get my "new" old porch furniture out. I really don't do anything else for spring decorating.

I have 3 cute little snowmen on my kitchen window sill - whenever the snow melts I guess I'll replace them with (wooden) flowers. I have a brown thumb when it comes to houseplants - just killed an azalea I've had since b4 Xmas - though I swear I watered it when everyone was sick, all of a sudden it just shriveled up!

I changed out my door mats this week. I am ready for Mud Season!

I was just making a list this morning of things to bring in from the storage shed...forsythia for the gate basket, wind spinner for the flag pole, "think spring" sign for the backporch post, "bug lights" to replace the snowflake lights on the back entry.... yep, I'm thinkin' spring!!
Everything y'all are doing sounds pretty! Wish you were here to help :^)

Sandals???? No need for sandals, barefooting!!!!!!

    Summer...I'm always behind :oP

Actually I've been in alaska for ten years...the land of no spring so I've kind of forgotten how nice it is. Here (washington) my gardens are going wild with daffodils, primroses, rhodys, hyathense (I can't spell that) it's gorgeous and so fun to see things bloom again. :)

I'm barely moved in...my decor is more "what I unpacked yesterday" than seasonally focused.
