These pans are extremely heavy, and I have no problem lifting (I lift weights). They're also quite expensive. I think you can do better.

We have induction & gas, so we want all cookware in our new kitchen to work on both. All-clad SS 8 qt. & 4 qt. dutch ovens are wonderful (side handles), but I don't like the long handle shape, so we picked Henckels Classic Clad SS for saucepans & 12" saute pan. For non-stick skillets, we like the relatively inexpensive Farberware Millenium SS 12" & 8" (available from Amazon.com). LeCreuset enameled cast iron is great, but very heavy, as are Lodge Logic cast iron skillets.

To test out the Henckels Classic Clad, I ordered one small saucepan from Amazon.com, since it could be returned.

I have a portable induction cooktop and my Chantal -- enamel on steel -- cookware works beautifully on the induction. It is also wonderful on my gas range as well. It is relatively lightweight. They have a regular line and a very high end line (called copper fusion). Both work on induction. it cleans up nicely too.
