I dont know about having 2 weeks old stone work going bad, but I have mixed chlorine and water in a spray bottle and sprayed it out on my rocks and planters, let it bake in the sun then hose it down. There is also a product sold at home depot, Ive used this too, I cant remember the name, its in a orange spray bottle in the isle for exterior paint, it also comes in little orange packets that you can buy first then go back to the paint counter and have them add the packet to the paint while they mix it up, its to prevent exterior paint from getting moldy, kinda like a polyurethane I guess. Im going to home depot tomrrow, if you dont get an answer from someone tonight, Ill post tomrrow with the name of what I am talking about. Good Luck!

No no it hasn't gone bad hehe... When they are cutting it and cementing it it looks wet but when it dried it faded... so it looks grayish. I would like the wet look. I live in a gated community and the stone guy does work here but he hasnt returned since mine was done so i cant ask him until he is back on another house. He told DH about something you buy and apply so it gives it the wet look. I appreciate you writing me back! maybe it is that polyurethane? What is your email so i can send you a picture? thanks :)

What you're after are various "water-sealers" for concrete & stone. Behr has a "wet-look" sealer. There are brands at Hardware stores too that do similiar things.

I've never been too much of a fan of "sealing" stonework. You're just locking yourself into a cycle of maintenance just to keep a certain "look". On exterior use, re-coating EVERY year is often required. IMO, this just looks so artificial...on a 95deg day, having wet-stones just seems goofy. Again, only MY thinking here...:-)
