My husband and I have been trying to figure out if we want to remodel our bathroom or not. Right now we have a combo whirlpool tub and shower with small (4x4 foot)walk in closets on either side, across from the tub sits a double vanity the doorway, full wall and then toilet. I have to note that there is about 22 inches of dead space from the end of the vanity to the wall. Our bathroom is good size but it seems very inefficient as well as builder basic boring.

What I would like to do is reconfigure the right hand closet into a shower, leave the tub in current position but build a better tub deck, take out left side closet and make the entire right side wall a custom cabinetry closet from floor to ceiling. We would keep the vanity in the current place but replace it with two back to back single vanities and make the full wall separating the toilet area from the rest of the bathroom into a half wall so the light from the sole window will be accessed by the entire space.

I guess what I am asking is should I give up the two tiny walk ins for the wall of cabinetry?
