So they were in front of your neighbors house with a pen and paper, and I am assuming the neighbor called them for an estimate. Possibly the neighbor got them through a referal since they say they do have some experience.

They did not approach you to solicit business. Why hassle them?

The letter just regretted any misunderstandings I may have had with my converations with him. I mean the flyers were hung on all the mailboxes and frontdoors in the subdivision where wood was the choice 20 years ago and probably mandated by now non enforced covenents. I would think twice about a franchise that hires college kids and charges the same rates as seasoned skilled professional painters with a longstanding history and reputation in my area. JMO
