I have 4 Gel Pro mats in my kitchen work area. 2 large ones and 2 small ones. They are wonderful!! They have about 1/2 inch of gel in each mat. I have arthritis in my knees and these mats are lifesavers. Would recommend them to anyone.

Love my Gel Pro mat. I have one in front of the sink and want to get one for in front of the cooktop.

Here's another vote for the Gel Pro. Got one for my mother for Christmas, then one for myself a few weeks ago. It's a dream. I went with the smaller one, and move it from sink to stove as needed. If you have wood floors, you do need to be careful not to let moisture get trapped underneath as it doesn't breath.

To save on the purchase, I went to Bed, Bath and Beyond with my 20% off coupon. Good deal, since the small mat costs $100.

I don't own a gel pro mat but have cotton rugs from Angela Adams in front of my sink. I don't like the gel pro because they are made of rubber and I can't handle the smell. Just something to consider if you have smell allergies. I can't go into a store that sells tires and anything that is rubber heavy.

Good luck!

The Gel Pro mats don't have a smell to them. Perhaps there's a slight plastic smell when they are first unwrapped, but the smell goes in a very, very short while. I have had mine for almost a year and there has never been a smell to them.

Jstell,
I have to disagree and I understand because most people are not sensitive to the smell. The smell is strong and it lingers for a long time. Just one person's experience with the product and other rubber floor mats. I can't have rubber floor mats in my car either because the smell is too strong and it triggers a really painful migraine session.

Good luck!

I just wish the gel pro mats were a bit more decorative... I can see how they would work and be wonderful, but I don't love how they look!
