    I think we were about 12' to the bottom of the long boxed beam. This home previously had 7'6" - 8' ceilings throughout. This entire space was vaulted underneath the roofline.

    Did you build out the beams? Or were these original? I ask because I have a similar looking room, smaller, but with the exposed beams. I want to add drywall and can lights like this. But, I don't think I have enough depth to add the lights. Any advice? How much depth do I need to add lights? thanks!
