I have my teapot collection on top of my cabinets.

My kitchen has 9ft ceilings and opens to the FR. I do not have anything on top of the cabs nor am I planning on it. Too hard to get up there to clean and there really is not anything I want to put up there.

I am planning on putting some pretty glassware in the cabs with glass fronts once I stop being so fussy. Did you have lighting put in your glass cabs?

I like the look of personal "stuff" on top of cabinetry. I think that it personalizes the home. Plus, it (hopefully) draws the eye upward and away from the mess on the kitchen counters! LOL I have some bird houses, a Russian samovar and various Russian and Ukrainian pottery pieces, along with some greenery to tie it all together.

One of my friends also has beautiful pottery and greenery all along the tops of her cabinets, and it really is gorgeous, so I would definitely consider it, as nccmama advised.
