Here's the $50 Sign!

Smaller than I remembered (thank heavens!) and DH said that it will fit in the kitchen. The sign is about 8'x5'. I think that it describes everything that goes on in our kitchen on a daily basis which is why I think that it's so perfect. Totally tongue in cheek!

The sign is terrific, but I've forgotten the space it's going to occupy. Like the others, I'll be checking for pics.

Your kitchen will be the talk of the town - in a good way. I love seeing kitchens that have a lot of character and a story behind them. Yours will have both.

Thanks! I'm sure my neighbors think I'm nuts since the sign is in our patio!

We're going to rip out and relocate the upper cabinets currently on the sink wall and the sign will go over the sink and take up that entire wall above the sink. It's a long narrow kitchen w/ too many doors and a large double window that takes up the entire wall opposite the sink.

Custom or semi custom cabinetry will go on the side walls and over doors from floor to ceiling except for the wall directly by the sign which is where we will do open shelving.

I think it will be fun. It is an interesting shape, too.

My only thought is that it needs some kind of framing or painting around the edge to better define it, perhaps something dark reminiscent of a chalet?

Love it.

A framing idea would be to frame out a larger piece of rectangular plywood, paint the plywood, and then mount your sign to the whole thing.
