I wish I had a place to put this. It's dead gorgeous!

I'm lamp crazy right now.

Very pretty - would look nice in my upstairs bath. Wish I could afford it 'cause I would LOVE to replace the light from 1987 that is in there now! LOL

I did notice that the title says five-light, but the description calls for three 60-watt bulbs. Wonder which one is correct?

You know, for all the help you've given folks, we should just pitch in and buy you the lamp, if you like it, les...you deserve it! Or choose a charity for folks to donate to if they feel you've helped them, like Bill Vincent has done with the bulletproof-vests-for-police-dogs organization...

Nice lamp, chicory--have you seen it in person?

Aw, flyleft, that was very kind of you to say, but I am the one who is lucky to have people let me 'play' in their spaces!

Thanks for the verbal hug- you made my day!

I have not seen it in person... I just saw that Bellacor has a close-out section and had to look at every single fixture. : ) ...but Flyleft, you're right, but if Les ever mentions a light fixture of her choosing, we should start a mini-web-a-thon.

I have several ugly circa 1987 fixtures to replace. Doesn't everyone??

Chicory, that was nice of you to say.

I bet you are right- there are LOTS of ugly 1987 fixtures that need to be deep-sixed. Here it would be the two in the entry hall, the one in the downstairs hall, the two ceiling fans in the family room, the light fixture in the downstairs bath, and the ceiling light in the upstairs bath. All told, I don't think they could have been more than $300 - builder's specials, you know. Most of them don't bother me all that much, because they are rarely used, so I can just pretend they are not there. LOL Or, like the fans in the family room, I don't sit down there so I don't see them that often.

Besides, on a cold and snowy, horrid winter night like tonight, I think of the homeless folks out there. After that, who cares what the light fixtures look like - I am just grateful to have a roof over my head, a warm and comfy place to be, and any kind of light!

I have my ceiling light fixtures too and I think you got a nice price for it. This particular fixture that I have is inspired by the original Tiffany lamp and made from hundreds of multi-colored glass pieces which have been hand-cut. But they differ in prices only. They almost got same shape.

Les: You are quite a lady.... and I mean that in the best possible way.

Thank you Val - that means a lot to me.

Chicory - love the light - I don't know if you ever saw my other messages about the clock (astrolabium) you had posted before. My DH bought the clock for me for Christmas!! When you posted that thread I showed him the clock and he thought it was so cool. Little did I know that he promptly ordered it and had it engraved!

Thanks for posting so many beautiful things. I really enjoy coming on this site to learn new ideas.

Chicory, love that light! Thanks for posting it!

    Les, well said!

Sorry I am late to this party - but what a sweet thread. I have been sick all week with whatever is going around and feel like garbage, but my ailment hopefully go away soon.
Chicory, how kind of you to keep posting and posting despite your problems. That light fixture is gorgeous! And Les, it is so true that while most of us have 1987 things that need deep-sixed, we are all so blessed with what we have.
This morning I was sadly lamenting the fact that today is my only GD's first birthday and we will not see her. They are currently living on the east coast (my son is doing a one year fellowship) and right now they are all on the beach as he is at a conference. What a special way to spend their daughter's birthday if they can't be home with us. My DH said --- cheer up, it could be worse. They will be back permanently this summer, and she is healthy and happy and we will see pictures until then!!

I had a quote come to me via email yesterday ----
"Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle". As I went down a list of friends and family, I thought that this is a very, very true statement.

Happy Valentine's Day and I hope all of you get a special hug today. Mine today meant a lot (and of course, after 35 years, I already know he won't spend his money on flowers that are going to die anyway!! LOL)

No-green-thumb! Be better soon. That flu bug is one tough customer.

That's a wonderful quote. Everyone really is saddled with their own unique and challenging burdens.

It is good that your granddaughter will be back with you in a year. There will be many more birthdays, and they'll be more special because she has her grandmother with her. She's a lucky girl!

Hoyamom!! You got one?!??! I'm dying of jealousy. Sorry, I just saw this message now. Please post a picture?

Oh, wait until I tell *my* DH. You lucky, lucky woman!!! : )

When I see things like that, I can't help but think that if I don't buy one, they'll disappear forever. I know that's ridiculous, but I want to save all the beautiful clocks... bleeding heart that I am. I'm so glad you have one - it truly is an art to preserve.

Thanks for the kind words, Chicory. At least I know my ailment will be gone hopefully in a week or so. It sure does take longer to bounce back though! Actually, dear GD will be back permanently at the end of June. My son has already done 7 1/2 months --- 4 1/2 to go!!!! and the countdown begins!!

That's wonderful for both you and your granddaughter!

Our family just had the flu - my youngest is still a snot ball after missing a full week of school. One of DH's co-workers said it took 2 weeks for her nose to knock it off.

Well, Chic, I don't know what this is, but it's pretty much hell. I think it is going into my sinuses and I really try to avoid antibiotics as I have had so many over the years for sinus infections - Last night I couldn't sleep at all, just kept dripping!! --- about 4:30 I came downstairs and had two shots of Jack Daniels! --- at least I slept for about an hour then!
Right now, dear GD is probably out on the beach with her mom. I think my son is tied up until about 6:30 - and my DIL told him he can't make any plans for tonight. They are celebrating GD's b-day. Nowadays they don't allow kids to have dairy until they are one, so tonight she gets her first ice cream cone!! Her mom is a huge ice cream lover, so this will be great!
