Bathroom paint suggestions?

Hello all,

Well, I find myself with 3 weeks off between jobs unexpectedly (!), so am planning to tackle painting my powder room and second floor family bath.

The powder room is off of a small (12 X 12 or so) playroom that is painted RH Bay Laurel. There is a white faux wood blind on the one small window, and the blind is usually shut as it faces the neighbor's house.

The room is currently a cementy-purple, which I don't mind terribly but would like a change. And it was painted very sloppily, uneven coverage, so I'd like to fix it up. Fixtures are white. Floor is cream, vinyl sheet and will stay for now.

The second floor bath is the same color, same bad paint job. It's off the hall, that is painted BM Stone House, and has one window, same white faux wood blind. tub and sink are off white and toilet is white. The room is small and narrow, maybe 9 X 6? and one of these days we are going to replace all the fixtures and add some nice subway tile, but for now paint will have to do. Floor is a dark sea green, small square shiny tile. It doesn't offend me (lol) and seems pretty firmly installed, so it stays.

My vision for these baths is a serene, gentle, sea-inspired color. Not true green, not true blue, and nothing minty or baby blue. Sort of a misty color, if that makes any sense.

I'm open to other suggestions as well. Have to go to the BM store tomorrow, so I'd prefer BM, but will consider others (have Lowe's, HD and SW in my area as well).

Thanks so much!

Mary
