Selection Boards / Color

I need help!!!

I am building a new house and am picking out the paint (attached is the floor plan and my current selections). I was able to choose 5 colors and have chosen the following for each of the rooms:

SW7104 Cotton White - All Trim & Closets

SW7640 Fawn Brindle or SW7031 Collonade Grey - Foyer, Great Room, Upper Hall, Mud Room, & Master Bath

SW7032 Warm Stone or SW7640 Fawn Brindle- Dining/Morning Room, Kitchen, Study, Bedroom #3

SW7676 Paper Lantern - Powder Room, Bedroom #2, & Main Bath

SW6471 Hazel - Master Bedroom, Laundry

I would love to hear peoples feedback on where they would put the colors. For instance -

is fawn brindle to dark, too light, just right?

Is Hazel too much, should I go with a more neutral tone?

Should I paint the main areas on the 1st floor the same color?

Do these colors clash?

Are there any other really good colors that i'm just not thinking about that should use instead?

What colors should I put in each for the rooms?

So many questions and my head is spinning. Choosing everything out prior to this was easy but I think the paint selection is going to be the demise of me...well either this or lighting which I have just started looking into!

I love all the colors you have chosen. I like Hazel a lot but IMO it's a strongish color. Will you be using alot of lighter colors in you bedding and drapery? Waterscape SW 6470 is a little lighter and might give you more of a spy look. For those looking at these colors Collonade Gray is 7641.

Thanks, yes, my fear is that the Hazel might be too bright. My furniture right now is a dark wood and I was planning on just having white bedding and drapery with accent pillows (not sure what color yet) in the bedroom.

This is the furniture I have now (came with my husband) but its not my style. Overall for my house I am going for a more contemporary feel. Although, whatever bedroom furniture that I do end up getting will be a dark wood as well.

Now after finding this picture I kind of like this blue color?

And yes, the Collonade Grey is 7641 and the Fawn Brindle is 7640 (does anyone know what the numbers mean? I mean they are only 1 digit off - just find that funny. Whatever the overall main color of the house is, it will need to look good with my couch as well - Arhaus Vote Sahara which looks more gray and less golden in my home.

It's going to be beautiful. Did you look at SW 6212 Quietude. I have seen that in a BR and it's beautiful. Not as bright as Hazel.

That is a nice color its much more muted. While looking at that I also found this one which might be a nice color too. SW6221 Moody Blue

Also, this is the actual color of my couch. The swatch online from Arhaus is totally off - its definitely more of a grey color- it only looks pinkish in the center because of the flash.

I love Moody Blue especially if you use lots of white. Always try a sample in the room. NOT on the wall itself but on foam board or primed cardboard. This has two advantages. First you can move it around the room. Second, it avoids build-up that you will see thru next layer because it's thicker (even if you sand lightly).

I can't tell much about your sofa color on my monitor.

I would go lighter than Hazel also. I see you have chosen all Sherwin Williams colors I assume that is because your painter told you that's what he uses. From experience, the painters water down the cheap Sherwin Williams 400 line so it goes on the walls easier. In our bedroom the dust sticks to the paint on the walls it is so awful. If I could do it all over, I would see how much of a price difference it would be to use Benjamin Moore paint (not watered down), even if I have to pay for the paint myself and just pay the painters for labor. Benjamin Moore is a far superior paint to Sherwin Williams and I have both in my home.
